Alanis MorissetteHavoc and Bright Lights

Alanis Morissette is one of those rare, omnipresent artists, one that has enjoyed tremendous success and name recognition, trailblazing a style of music with an undeniably distinct sound. It hardly feels like four years since her last album, “Flavors of Entanglement,” as she has remained a fixture within pop culture, but she now returns with “Havoc and Bright Lights,” tapping her previous albums producer and writing alongside Frou Frou guitarist, Guy Sigsworth. The tone of Morissette’s new tracks may have shifted, but her lyrics remain as blunt as ever, even when speaking to recent happiness such as a new husband and baby boy.
