Hello everyone. First and most importantly, we’d like to extend our sincere apologies for the recent issues surrounding the Music Unlimited service’s Android smartphone and tablet application. We’re working as fast as we can to fix the app.
During our most recent version 1.6 and 1.6.1 updates providing access to High Quality Audio, a bug was discovered that caused some users to receive a “cannot connect to the server” message. We’ve been working to develop a fix, but the process is taking longer than we anticipated. At this point, we have rolled the Android application version back to 1.5.3 to restore service for those having issues.
If you are having a problem, please update the Music Unlimited Android application when you are prompted. If you are not prompted, please visit Google Play, download and install the app. Unfortunately, with this update, your Android device will not be able to access High Quality Audio that was part of the version 1.6 and 1.6.1 updates. The High Quality Audio feature will be restored when we can correct the bug and issue an update.
Meanwhile, High Quality Audio can still be accessed from the Music Unlimited service’s PC application and the PS3.
Again, we would like to offer our deepest apologies and will update you as soon as a fix has been issued. Thanks for your patience!

Even the old 1.5 version is still not working. It’s good to know it is being worked on but it is still very frustrating.

Still having the same issues with the 1.5.3 version now. I primarily use Music Unlimited on my phone so this issue is quickly turning my subscription into a HUGE waste of money.

The patch doesn’t work with android.
Please fix this Sony.
I’m someone who was excited to find such a good library of music.
You have 10 months to convince me that I should keep this service.
You’ve got a lot of ground to make up, but all I ask for is a reliable music service.
Don’t worry about high quality audio and all the other bells and whistles your competitors are pushing. Worry about a reliable easy to use product that customers can get comfortable with.
Any feature that a business can offer it’s customer means NOTHING if you can’t offer COMFORT.
Currently I don’t have comfort in your product.

A Concerned Customer

Same here, can’t connect to the server, from 1.5.3 version :(
How can a connection issue take so long to be fixed??? The website is working fine though…

If it isn’t solved in a few days, I am going to end my Premium subscription. What a waist of money… I don’t care about HQAudio. I just want an android app that works fine.
