The Walking Dead may have wrapped up its second season of broadcasts but the show continues to walk all over the list of this week’s top U.S. TV show purchases. The zombie-filled hit takes seven of 10 slots on this week’s list, ceding ground only to single episodes of South Park, Archer and Supernatural. Which forces us to think that an Archer/Walking Dead crossover would be the most popular thing ever on the Video Unlimited service.

  1. The Walking Dead | Season 2 – Beside the Dying Fire
  2. The Walking Dead | Season 2 – Better Angels
  3. South Park | Season 16 – Reverse Cowgirl
  4. The Walking Dead | Season 2 – Judge, Jury, Executioner
  5. The Walking Dead | Season 2 – 18 Miles Out
  6. Archer | Season 3 – Space Race: Part 1
  7. The Walking Dead | Season 2 – Triggerfinger
  8. The Walking Dead | Season 2 – What Lies Ahead
  9. Supernatural | Season 7 – Out With The Old
  10. The Walking Dead | Season 2 – Nebraska

It’s time for another bout in our Theatrical Throwdown. This week in one corner we have A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas and in the other corner stands The Rum Diary.

In A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas the stoner duo returns with Neil Patrick Harris once again in tow. After going their separate ways for years, Harold and Kumar are brought together once again to try and replace the Christmas tree of Harold’s father-in-law that the pair accidentally burnt down. Along the way they encounter the unstoppable NPH, who has returned from the dead to help them out and while also causing plenty of trouble himself.

Johnny Depp stars in The Rum Diary as Kemp, a thinly disguised variation of writer Hunter S. Thompson, on whose book this movie is based. Kemp travels to Puerto Rico and immediately falls in with a group of American expatriates. That includes a prominent businessman (played by Aaron Eckhart) who is involved in some shady dealings and his fiancee Chenault (Amber Heard) who Kemp falls in love with.

Vote now for your favorite. Will you side with the stoners or go with the journalistic alcoholic? Look for the winner to be announced this Thursday and then be available to rent beginning Friday for just $.99 in SD and $1.99 in HD in the U.S. and English-speaking territories of Canada.
