In spite of cold temperatures, February is heating up for Valentine’s Day tomorrow, with nearly every corner of the internet reminding you to dote on your loved one… or that you’re single. While flowers and candy are nice, there is nothing more romantic than music, and we’ve dialed up the romance to the extreme in our new Slow Jams Channel, now available on Music Unlimited.
Lean back and enjoy some of the most soulful and sensual tracks ever cut to wax (metaphorically speaking). We’ve handpicked tracks from the ‘70s up until now, bringing you the smoothest, romantically inclined music – from Marvin Gaye and Anita Baker to Usher and Frank Ocean.
Spend this #ThrowbackThursday shuffling through the greats as we dive headfirst into into V-Day. Enjoy!
Sunday night, The 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards were held in Los Angeles, an evening that saw some huge winners and unexpected surprises (including critical darling Kendrick Lamar’s shut out.) French electronic duo Daft Punk walked away as the reigning kings of the evening, with Random Access Memories being named Album of the Year and the hit single “Get Lucky,” winning for Record of the Year. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis also did very well, garnering a total of four Grammys, including Best New Artist and three rap awards generated by their breakthrough album, The Heist, and another hit single, “Thrift Shop.”
But as much as the Grammys are about honoring the past year’s greatest in music, it’s also just as much about the show. Last evening’s awards heated up fast with a steamy opening performance by Beyonce and husband Jay Z, and momentum was carried by Taylor Swift, Pink, Paul McCartney, Imagine Dragons + Kendrick Lamar, Sara Bareilles + Carole King and many more.
Oh, and we can’t forget to mention the MVP that was Pharrell Williams’ hat, which by the end of the night had its own Twitter handle.
Check out the winners in the biggest categories and re-live the night through The 56th GRAMMY® Awards Premium Channel featuring these winners and more on the Music Unlimited service.
Music is at the top of everyone’s mind this week, not just with our PlayStation Music Sale but of course The 56th GRAMMY® Awards. Music’s biggest night is happening even earlier than usual, airing this Sunday at 8/7c on CBS. We’ve rolled out the red carpet to our annual channel rounding up the nominees, now available on Music Unlimited.
The 56th GRAMMY® Awards Channel captures the outstanding artists, albums and songs that are up in some of the biggest categories like Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist and more. Tensions are high between breakout artists like Macklemore & Kendrick Lamar, both of which earned both critical and commercial success. There are also veterans on the list, like Daft Punk and Justin Timberlake, who both made massive comebacks. We even dig deep into categories like Best Soundtrack & Best Dance Recording.
Get yourself up to speed before the big night and weigh on who you think should come out on top. Don’t forget to tune in to see who won!
The Boss. Few artists paint an immediate mental image from their real name, let alone their nickname, but Bruce Springsteen isn’t just any artist. He is the artist for devotees who have followed his career over 40 years, 18 studio albums, five live albums and relentless touring. His catalog includes a staggering amount of hits that have been sewn into the fabric of the history of music and awarded him a whopping 20 GRAMMY® Awards, two Golden Globes and an Academy Award (y’know, to name a few) and a spot in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1999.
Decades later, he is continuing to put out music, with his latest effort, High Hopes dropping this past Tuesday. It’s a slightly different release as it contains songs written for previous albums and performed live for over 10 years, just now recorded and compiled. This is an essential for fans who have come to love these songs live and itching for a proper recording.
To celebrate the release of High Hopes, we’ve put together a comprehensive list in our latest retrospective channel, Artist Rewind: Bruce Springsteen, available now on Music Unlimited. It’s an essential mix of rock, R&B, pop and soul through album highlights, live performances and more. Enjoy!

Everyone knows that Halloween falls on the 31st, but everything unofficially kicks off this “Halloweekend” to get the most out of the holiday with parties and activities for these non-school nights. And admit it, you’ve been watching horror movies and sneaking fun-sized candy since early October.
The Music Unlimited service is helping kickstart the festivities with our new Halloween Channel, now available in the premium channels section. We’ve featured some of the classics like “Monster Mash,” “Weird Science,” & The Ghostbusters Theme Song. However, we also have some unconventionally “Halloween,” songs like “Thriller,” “I Want Candy” & “Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites.”
We hope this channel will get you in the spirit for the next week of costumes, haunted houses and sugar rush. Have fun and be safe!
