The Bourne Legacy: Now this is more like it! After a mostly mysterious first trailer, this second one features a lot of good Jeremy Renner action, and more clearly explains the plot and how it fits into the previous Bourne movies starring Matt Damon. Renner is riding a big wave of popularity right now thanks to his role as Hawkeye in The Avengers, and he might be the perfect choice for new Bourne protagonist thanks to a strong body of screen work as the “guy harboring a secret.”

Les Miserables: Wow, what a powerful first trailer. And who knew Anne Hathaway could sing like that? If you’re already familiar with the long-running stage musical we won’t rehash plot points about orphans and the French Revolution and so on. If you’re not that’s fine – this trailer shows you a good deal of what you need to know and sells the movie as a sweeping epic of a story. Now we’re anxious to see more of the vocal performances from Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and the rest of the cast.

Lola Versus: We loved Greta Gerwig in ,well, just about everything she’s been in. So it’s great to see her taking more of a leading role in this relationship comedy that has her character dumped just before her wedding. After that, it’s a mess of awkward romantic moments, outsized expectations that aren’t in line with reality and more conversations between Gerwig and her friends about love, commitment and more.
If you love Greta Gerwig too, we recommend these titles on the Video Unlimited service: Greenberg, Baghead
The Perks of Being a Wallflower: Emma Watson achieves breakout velocity from the Harry Potter franchise in this much-anticipated adaptation of the Stephen Chbosky novel. Watson plays,Sam, alongside Logan Lerman’s, Charlie, the main character of the story. Charlie is used to being on the fringes of the social scene but then he meets Sam and her stepbrother Patrick (Ezra Miller) and finds a group that accepts him for who he is. Anyone who is a fan of the original book won’t want to miss this one.

Premium Rush: The second trailer for this Joseph Gordon-Levitt drama certainly lives up to the “Rush” part of the movie’s name with its quick cuts and overall breakneck pace. There’s a touch more of the plot that’s revealed here than was shown in the first spot, though we still come away with more or less vague outlines of the story. But some of the bike stunts look pretty cool and with Michael Shannon as the bad guy we are at least intrigued.
For more of Joseph Gordon-Levitt we recommend this title on the Video Unlimited service: Hesher
House at the End of the Street: Jennifer Lawrence goes horror in this movie after tackling drama (Winter’s Bone) and action (X-Men First Class and The Hunger Games). This trailer presents a lot of standard horror beats – slowly turning doorknobs, medium shots into vaguely spooky woods and such – but we’re hoping Lawrence, who has shown she can do a lot with the roles she’s given, brings something new to her performance.
